HAYLEY TOP BRIT AT THE ALAMO BUT

Astor Trophy GB and I team selection Hayley Davis (Baylor University) from Wimborne, Dorset shot a final round of one-over-par 73 for T32 finish in a field of 78 at The Alamo Invitational at San Antonio, Texas.
Hayley had earlier rounds of 72 and 75.
The final-year student was the leading British player in the final standings even though she finished 16 shots behind the winner Sophia Schubert (Auburn) (65-74-65 for 12-under 204).
Overnight leader Caroline Nistrup (Louisiana State) from Sweden finished a shot behind on 205 with rounds of 66, 70 and 69.
Curtis Cup Scot Gemma Dryburgh (Tulane) from Aberdeen) finished T44 on 222 with rounds of 77, 71 and 74.
Aimee Ponte (Texas-San Antonio), a sophomore from the Channel Islands, Guernsey to be precise, finished on the same 222 mark as Dryburgh. Aimee scored 77, 71 and 74.
Brogan Townend, a third-year student from Blackburn at Texas-San Antonio had scores of 71, 84 and 74 for 229 and a T67 finish.
Scots-born Becky McGeehan, a freshman from Gutersloh, Germany, and also a student at Texas-San Antonio came T70th with scofres of 75, 82 and 74 for 231.
Louisiana State (841) won the team title by seven shots from Arkansas (848) with Auburn (850) third.
Baylor (860) finished sixth of the 15-team line-up. Tulane (872) came seventh.
Hosts Texas-San Antonio finished at the bottom of the table, last of 15 on 894. They had better start looking for next season's "talent" now!
