NEWS FROM THE US WOMEN'S COLLEGE GOLF SCENE


 EMILY AIRD FROM PERTH HELPS 
NEWMAN START SEASON WITH A WIN

Emily Aird is in there somewhere as the Newman women's team pose for a picture after their victory in the Concho River Classic.  To help you pinpoint Emily, we've put another picture of her in the story below.

 Emily Aird from Perth, a second-year student at Newman University, Wichita, Kansas finished 19th in a field of 50 and help her squad start the 2014-15 US college golf season with a team victory in the Concho River Classic collegiate tournament, hosted by Angelo State University, at San Angelo, Texas.
Emily had rounds of 81 and 77 for a total of 158.
Newman and Tarleton State both finished with a score of 606. Newman won the tie-breaker based on the fifth player in the team's score.
Three of Aird's team-mates finished in the top six - Courtney Zietsman, Julie Bernard  and Kendall Anderson. Zietsman (73-76) and Bernard (75-74) tied for fourth place on 149.
