ENGLAND NAME TOP MEN'S AND 

WOMEN'S TRAINING SQUADS

Double European amateur champion Ashley Chesters, English champion Nick Marsh and British women's stroke-play champion Meghan MacLaren are among the players named in the England training squads for 2014/15.
The squads include players based both in this country and in the USA and there’s a completely fresh look to the home-based women’s squad, with all eight members new to this level of training.
The England women’s squad is:
 Lianna Bailey (Kirby Muxloe, Leicestershire), Gemma Clews (Delamere Forest, Cheshire), India Clyburn (Woodhall Spa, Lincolnshire), Sammie Giles (St Mellion, Cornwall), Emma Goddard (Royal Liverpool, Cheshire), Alice Hewson (Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire), Inci Mehmet (Wentworth, Surrey) and Bethan Popel (Long Ashton, Gloucestershire).
Those at college in the USA are:
Hayley Davis (Ferndown, Dorset), Bronte Law (Bramhall, Cheshire) and Meghan MacLaren (Wellingborough, Northamptonshire).
Hayley Davis is the English stroke-play champion and Bronte Law, a Curtis Cup player, is the English amateur champion. Meghan MacLaren (image copyright Leaderboard Photography) won the British title immediately before returning to the USA to resume her studies.
The home-based players include four members of the winning Ladies’ Home Internationals team: Gemma Clews, English girls’ champion India Clyburn, Alice Hewson and Bethan Popel. Inci Mehmet and India Clyburn were in England’s winning Girls’ Home Internationals team and Sammie Giles is the English mid-amateur champion. Lianna Bailey and Emma Goddard have produced consistently high results this season.
The England men’s squad is: 
Daniel Brown (Bedale, Yorkshire), Adam Chapman (Windermere, Cumbria), Ashley Chesters (Hawkstone Park, Shropshire and Herefordshire), Joe Dean (Lindrick, Yorkshire), Paul Howard (Southport and Ainsdale, Lancashire), Luke Johnson (King’s Lynn, Norfolk), Paul Kinnear (Formby, Lancashire), Nick Marsh (Huddersfield, Yorkshire), Jimmy Mullen (Royal North Devon), Michael Saunders (Dartford, Kent), Ben Stow (Rushmore, Wiltshire) and Daniel Wasteney (Lindrick, Yorkshire).
Those at college in the US are:  
Tomasz Anderson (Brocket Hall, Hertfordshire), Sebastian Crookall-Nixon (Silloth on Solway, Cumbria), Harry Ellis (Marriott Meon Valley, Hampshire), Ben Taylor (Walton Heath, Surrey) and Ben Wheeler (Purley Downs, Surrey).
Ashley Chesters  is the first player to successfully defend the European amateur, while Nick Marsh won his English title at Saunton. Ben Stow is the English open stroke play champion, Adam Chapman won the 2014 North and South of England amateur championships and Joe Dean has won the Lee Westwood Trophy for the past two years. 
Paul Howard is the South American amateur champion, Luke Johnson has enjoyed two victories this year, the Berkhamsted Trophy and the West of England Stroke Play, and Jimmy Mullen won the Duncan Putter.
Of the 17-strong squad only Brown, Dean and Wheeler have not been capped by England at full international level.The England men’s ‘A’ squad is: Ben Amor (Marlborough, Wiltshire), Jamie Bower (Meltham, Yorkshire), Robert Burlison (Oxley Park, Staffordshire), Jamie Dick (Forest Hills, Gloucestershire), Tom Gandy (Rowany, Isle of Man), Oscar Granstrom-Livesey (Royal Mid Surrey, Surrey), Scott Gregory (Corhampton, Hampshire), Bobby Keeble (Crowlands Heath, Essex), Haydn McCullen (Delamere Forest, Cheshire), Sean Towndrow (Southport and  Ainsdale, Lancashire), Ashton Turner (Kenwick Park, Lincolnshire) and Andrew Wilson (Darlington, Durham).
McCullen is the current English boy champion while Ben Amor held the title last year. McCullen, Dick and Turner all represented GB and I against Europe in the Jacques Leglise Trophy.
Towndrow was a member of the Southport and Ainsdale squad which won the England Champion Club tournament, while Gandy won the Lagonda Trophy and Bower and Burlison were runners-up in the Lee Westwood Trophy. 
Gregory was runner-up in the English amateur, where Granstrom-Livesey was a semi-finalist. Keeble won the County Champions Tournament last year and Wilson is a former North of England Youth champion.
