CALLUM COCHRANE MAKES TOP 20 IN

USA COLLEGE CIRCUIT DEBUT

Callum Cochrane from Edinburgh achieved a top 20 finish on his debut for Radford University, Virginia in the Camden Collegiate Invitational, South Carolina.
Over a par-70 course of 6,455yd, Cochrane had rounds of 69, 71 and 77 for an aggregate of 217, the lowest of the five-strong Radford squad.
The 6ft Scot got all nine of his birdies over his first two rounds, at the end of which he was lying joint fifth. He could not quite keep it going over the final round but the Radford coach was very pleased with Cochrane's debut display which augurs well for the rest of the 2014-15 college season.
Cochrane finished 16 shots behind the winner by six strokes, Brannan Hudson (Wofford University) who had scores of 67, 63 and 71 for a nine-under total of 201.
Radford finished fifth behind team title winners South Carolina University.
