SCOT FAILS TO IMPROVE MORE THAN ONE SHOT OVER LAST ROUND

 JOSH JAMIESON FROM ST ANDREWS

FINISHES 6th AT ERIN HILLS, Wisconsin

Josh Jamieson from St Andrews, the 2011 Scottish boys' stroke-play champion and now a junior (third-year) student at Northwestern University, Illinois (Luke Donald's alma mater), was unable to improve his final position by more than one spot in the last round of the Erin Hills Intercollegiate tournament at Erin Hills Golf Club, Wisconsin.
Over a longish course of 7,300yd with a par of 72,  Jamieson finished sixth in a field of 66 players with a 54-hole aggregate of one-over-par 217, made up of rounds of 72, 73 and 72 - very steady!

The Scot finished five shots behind the long-time leader and winner Bryson Dechambeau (Southern Methodist) (72-71-69 for four-under 212)
Harrison Greenberry, a third-year student from Devon at Kentucky University, finished 39th on 228 (80-77-71).
UCLA (859) won the team title ahead of UCLA (859), Marquette (878) and fourth-placed Northwestern (880) in a field of 11 teams.
