BLUFFTON, South Carolina — The
University of South Carolina Beaufort women's golf team turned in a
second consecutive team score of 306 to finish in a tie for
seventh place at the Lander Lady Bearcat Invitational at Old South Golf

Freshman Emily Turner, pictured above, from Stockbridge Manor, Essex, carded the best round of the tournament for USCB with a 1-over-par 73, finishing in a tie for 15th at 7-over 151.
Freshman Franzi Knoetsch (76-77 for 153) and junior Lina Sekerkova (74-79 for 153) tied for 25th, senior Samantha O'Donnell (78-77 for 155) tied for 36th and senior Tori DeGroodt (88-79 for 167) tied for 68th.
St.
Leo (593) claimed the team title by one shot over SCAD Savannah, while
Flagler and Limestone tied for third at 598. SCAD's Alazne Urizar
(68-72—140) won the individual title by one shot over Limestone's
Brittany LaPadula (76-65—141).
The Sand Sharks will be back in action Oct. 20-21 at the Chick-fil-A Invitational in Mount Berry, Georgia.
