FLORIDA INTERNATIONAL STAR ENDS 2014 SEASON WITH A FLOURISH

MEGHAN MACLAREN FINISHES 2nd

  IN PAT BRADLEY INVITATIONAL

British stroke-play champion Meghan MacLaren from Wellingborough, a third-year student at Florida International University, finished the first half of the 2014-2015 college golf season in fine style.
She shot a final round of five-under-par 67 to finish second behind 27th world ranked Tiffany Chan (Daytona State College) in the 37th Pat Bradley Invitational at Lakewood Ranch, Bradenton, Florida today.
Meghan had rounds of 72, 72 and 67 over a par-72 course of 6,270yd for an aggregate of five-under-par 211.
Tiffany Chan shot 70, 70 and 69 for seven-under 209.
Ashley Kees (Memphis) was third on 212 (71-75-66) and then there was a four-shot gap to the fourth placed player.
MacLaren's Florida International team-mate, Sophie Godley, a third-year student from Nottinghamshire, finished T41 on 236 (78-81-77).
Memphis (872) won the team title ahead of Daytona State (879) with Floorida International (881) third in a field of 13 teams.
