GAVIN GREEN WINS AGAIN IN LAST US COLLEGE EVENT OF 2014



  Gavin Green, outstanding performance to win Western Refining All-America tournament two years in a row. He is No 18 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings.

FORREST 16TH IN US COLLEGE FINAL 

 EVENT OF THE YEAR

Former Scottish amateur champion Grant Forrest from North Berwick, a student at San Diego University, finished 16th today in a quality field of 20 at the final event of the first half of the US men's college golf circuit before the winter close-down.
Forrest, in his final year at the California college, had rounds of 74, 71 and 70 for a total of  two-over-par 215 in the Western Refining College All-America tournament over a par-71 course of 6,889yd at El Paso Country Club, Texas.
Kuala Lumpur-born Gavin Green (New Mexico) won the title for the second year in a row - this time by seven shots with a 14-under total of 199 (71-62-66). Green is No 18 in the R and A World Amateur Golf Rankings.
David Boote (Stanford), pictured right, from Epsom finished joint fourth on 207 with scores of 70, 68 and 69.

WICKS MAKES TOP 15 AT ODESSA

David Wicks, from East Sussex, a freshman
student at Midland College, Texas, finished T15 in a field of 40 players at the Odessa College Invite tournament at the Odessa Country Club course, Texas
Wicks, pictured right with the Sussex county championship trophy he won during the summer, had rounds of 73, 71 and 80 for a total of eight-over-par 224 on a long par-72 course of 7,389yd
Winner by four shots was Josh Radcliff (Univesity of Texas-Arlington) with rounds of 66, 69 and 74 for seven-under 209. 
Odessa (872) won the team title by a single shot from Western Texas with Ranger Community College (904) third, Midland (926) fourth and New Mexico Military Institute (941) last of five.
