CHRISTINA KIM  A SHOT AHEAD OF 

PAULA CREAMER AFTER TWO ROUNDS

 Christina Kim has had rounds of 65-69 for 10-under-par 134 and a one-stroke halfway lead over Paula Creamer (70-65) in the Lorena Ochoa Invitational at Club de Golf Mexico, Mexico City.
 Kim is looking for her first win since the Mitchell Company Tournament of Champions in 2005.
Kim began the round exactly where she left off on Thursday with birdies on three of the first  four holes, before two bogeys on 7 and 9.
“It’s difficult when you’re in the lead and there’s such a fantastic field and everyone’s coming after you. It’s been a while since I’ve been in this position. Just trying to get back into it. Just enjoying myself.”
Paula Creamer has been working with her coach, David Whelan lately. Creamer and Whelan have been working  together since Creamer was 16 years old and he knows her swing as well as she does. She’s been working on a number of things but has been seeing results out there on the course.
One area in particular is with her putting. In her second round she needed just 27 putts on her way to the low round of the day
“I switched to left hand below the right and I switched my whole putter at Evian and that’s been probably the greatest thing that I’ve done.” Creamer said. “I just have a lot of confidence.  It’s more about judging the speed of the green instead of thinking about my stroke or thinking about this. I know that it’s solid and we’ve been working really hard on that.”
Norway's Suzann Pettersen moved up into third place on 137 - three shots off the lead, with the 
second-best round of the day, a six-under 66.
New Zealander Lydia Ko and Spain's Azahara Munoz are on the same mark, Ko scoring 69 in Round 2, Munoz a 71.
Stacy Lewis slashed six shots off her opening round of 76 to be T27 on 146, the same mark as North Berwick's Catriona Matthew.
The Scot had what can only be described as an up and down round. She bogeyed the third, fourth and eighth and had a double bogey 6 to turn in four-over 40 strokes. She also bogeyed the 14th.
On the credit side Catriona birdied the fifth, 11th, 12th and 13th.

 LYDIA KO IS YOUNGEST LPGA ROOKIE 

OF YEAR AWARD WINNER ... ONLY 17

  
Seventeen-year-old Lydia Ko, from New Zealand but of South Korean stock, already owned the titles of youngest winner and youngest millionaire in LPGA history. She can now check off youngest  Rookie of the Year award winner ever,
Ko locked up the honour with three events remaining on the LPGA schedule, thanks to a season that has so far seen her pile up two victories, two runner-ups, and nine additional top-10 finishes.
“It’s really been a dream rookie season for me,” said Ko. “I learned so much and am glad to have achieved some of my goals along the way. It’s an honour to have my name now etched alongside such amazing players and legends of the game on the list of Rookie of the Year winners.”
