SURREY'S LOUIS HIRST FINISHES 
2nd AT BEYOND THE ROAR INVITATIONAL

Banstead Downs Golf Club, Surrey member Louis Hirst, pictured right, a second-year student at Northwood University, Texas, finished second on 148 (75-73) in the weekend's Beyond the Roar Invitational college tournament at the Country Club of Winter Haven, Florida.
Northwood team-mate Sam McCarthy, a sophmore from South Wales, finished seventh on 154 (76-78) behind the runaway winner, by a seven-shot margin, W. Greg Gentry (Webber International) who had scores of 72 and 69 for 141 over a par-72 course of 6,919yd/

Winsby shot 79-72 for a total of 151
Other Webber International students in the field of 45 were Alex Fellas, a sophomore from Norfolk, Sam De'Ath, a sophomore from Fleet, and Nicholas Cox, a senior from Essex.
Fellas finished T15 on 158 (85-73).
De'Ath finished T22 on 160 (79-81) and Cox was T30- on 165 (88-77).
Northwood and Webber International tied on 609 at the top of a table of six teams.

DECLAN MAKES TOP THIRTY
Meanwhile, Declan Addison, a freshman student from Peterhead at Brevard College, North Carolina, finished T28 in a field of 61 players at the one-round Hummingbird Intercollegiate at the Country Club of Sapphire, North Carolina.
Declan had a round of three-over 74 - seven shots behind the two players who tied for victory on 67. Logo Lagodich (Marshall) and Wehman Hopke (Furman). The pair finished two shots ahead of the field.
Clemson (278) just edged Furman (279) out of the top spot for the team title. Brevard (298) finished eight in a field of 12.
