RENFREWSHIRE HONORARY MEMBERSHIP FOR EILIDH BRIGGS



Eilidh Briggs (Kilmacolm) was awarded Honorary Membership of 


the County in recognition of all her her achievements in world golf 

at last night's 105th Renfrewshire Ladies County Golf Association 

annual meeting at Haggs Castle Golf Club.
 

RLCGA Captain Gillian McGinlay gave brief history of Eilidh's achievements so far;-
 

Started playing golf at the age of 7.
First handicap 45 at the age of 10.
Won the Campbell Clock.
Played in 3 Kennedy Salvers for Renfrewshire
First adult Jamboree at Prestwick 2007 aged 13....
Scottish Open under 14 Champion.
3 times West Of Scotland Girls Champion.
Renfrewshire Girls Champion (several Occasions)
Represented Scotland Girls Home Internationals -  2008, 2009,  2010, 2011
Scottish Girls Europeans 2010 2011.
Scottish Girl Champion 2011
S.L.G.A. Girls order of merit winner 2009, 2010 2011.
Renfrewshire County Champion 3 times
Scottish Champion of Champion 2011 2012.
West Of Scotland Winner 2011 2012
Runner up Scottish Ladies Championship 2011
Scottish University Champion 2012
Represented GB at university World Championship
Home International team 2011 2012 2013
Scottish European team 2013 2014
Scottish world amateur team 2012 2014
Scottish ladies order of merit winner 2013
Silver medallist European universities 2013
7th Ladies Portuguese 2014
Semi-finalist Scottish 2014

Gillian was also pleased  to announce Eileen Gibb's successor as the new Honorary President of the county - Jennifer Mack (Haggs Castle)
 

She has been a multiple Club Champion, Club Captain, county player and County Captain.
Also she has Captained Scottish Vets and played in the team at both county and international levels.
Captain of the Scottish Senior ladies, home international team and member of the S.L.G.A. board where she served as chairwoman of County golf.
She is still actively playing golf and plays off single figure.
