JUNIOR ORANGE BOWL TOURNAMENT STARTS IN FLORIDA
FIONALIDDELL 75, INDIA CLYBURN 78 IN FIRST ROUND
Scottish U18 girls champion Fiona Liddell had a four-over-par 75 and Scottish U21 open girls title-holder India Clyburn (Woodhall Spa) scored a 78 in the first round of the Junior Orange Bowl International junior tournament over the Biltmore course near Miami, Florida yesterday.
Linnea Strom (Sweden), pictured left, leads the girls' tournament by one stroke with a four-under-par 67.
England's Jamie Dick (Forest Hills GC) from Gloucestershire had a 70 in the boys' tournament. He is in joint ninth position which is not a bad effort, considering the star-studded international field of teenagers.
Daniel List (Wentworth), the other England boy competitor, retired after only six holes with a back problem which he had been bothered with in practice.
