Chloe Ryan (Ireland) and English youngster Inci Mehmet were the joint leading GB and I players with two-over-par 74s in tied seventh place at the end of the first round of the Portuguese international women's amateur championship  at Montado Hotel and Golf Resort today.
Inci had four birdies - second, 15th, 16th and 18th - but her six bogeys included three 6s.

Also on 74 was Germany-based English girl Olivia Cowan.
Scottish champion Gabrielle Macdonald was T20 on 76 with two birdies and four bogeys
Big names near the bottom of the 
89 players' returns included Scottish U21 girls champion India
Clyburn and Irish champion Mary Doyle. Both had 82s to be sharing 67th place.
The field will be cut to the leading 40 and ties for Saturday's final round.
