CHLOE WINS BUT CONNIE GOES DOWN UNDER
Chloe Williams from Wrexham is through to the second round of the match-play stages of the Australian women's amateur international championship at The Australian Golf Club, Sydney.
But her GB and I Astor Trophy team-mate, Troon Ladies' Connie Jaffrey lost her first tie.
Williams, one of the top seeds after the stroke-play qualifying, won by 4 and 3 against a Japanese player, N Hataoka.
Jaffrey went down on the 18th green - by two holes - to a South Korean, H Ryu.
