Eleanor, Sophie, Hannah T12 in New South Wales

Eleanor Givens, Sophie Walker and Hannah Burke, tied 12th on one-under-par 71, were the best placed British players at the end of the first round of the Australian Ladies PGA tournament, the Moss Vale Classic in New South Wales today.
Ellon's Michele Thomson, who won the Scottish women's amateur title and also a place in the GB and I Curtis Cup team for the Old Course, St Andrews, both in 2008, was not in the best of form and a six-over-par 78 has left her in T49 position.
