Host nation Australia won the women's amateur international team match-play golf championship for the Astor Trophy - played every four years - for a fifth time at Grange Golf Club, Adelaide in South Australia today.
The team of Shelly Shin (16), Hannah Green (18), Jenny Lee (18), Becky Kay (15) and Gennai Goodwin (20) completed a 100 per cent winning record through the four-match programme by beating South Africa 5-2 on the final day.
Australia led 2-0 after the morning foursomes and took the singles 3-2.
The top Aussie individual players over the week were Hannah Green (5.5pt out of 8) and Shelly Shin (5 out of 8). GB and I's Bronte Law, pictured right, was the MVP of the tournament with 6.5pt out of 8.
New Zealand beat Canada 5-2 in today's other closing encounter, winning the foursomes 1.5-0.5 and the singles 3.5 to 1.5.
Australia's previous triumphs in the Astor Trophy - formerly known as the Commonwealth Tournament - came in 1983, 1995, 1999 and 2003.
Defending the title they won at Fairhaven GC, Lancashire in 2011, Great Britain and Ireland, who completed their programme on Thursday, finished on the 2pt mark alongside New Zealand and South Africa.
