COUNTDOWN TO ASTOR TROPHY MONDAY START
GRANGE COURSE, SOFTENED BY RAIN,
NOW IN FABULOUS CONDITION
NOW IN FABULOUS CONDITION
GB and I Astor Trophy team captain
Grange GC, Adelaide, Saturday: It poured with rain for the
first few holes of our first practice round over the course today. Can't believe we are wearing full waterproofs!
Tomorrow is looking better, with sun and cloud and 29 degrees forecast.
The
course is in fabulous condition, with the rain probably taking some of
the bounce out of the greens. Lots of fairway bunkers and waste areas
and deep bunkers around the greens, but the landing areas are quite
generous on the whole.
Another
practice round at 830 am tomorrow, with perhaps some holes after lunch.
Opening ceremony is 6 pm Sunday when the foursomes pairings for Monday will be announced.
+Greg Norman scored his first win as a professional at Grange Golf Club.
