OH WHAT A  FAB FINISH WINS MOSS VALE LADIES

CLASSIC BUT SHE'S STILL INTENT ON RETIRING

FROM THE AUSTRALIAN LPGA WEBSITE
South Korean Sarah Oh shot a nine-under-par, second-round 64 to take the Moss Vale Ladies Classic by a single shot from Sydney’s Sarah Kemp at the New South Wales venue today.
Oh shot 70-64 for 12-under-par 134 over the par-73 course to win the $4.500 first prize by a single stroke from Australian Kemp (68-67 for 135) who earned the $3,000 runner-up prize
Oh started the second and final round four shots behind overnight leader  Whitney Hillier but showed her intent early with a birdie on the first  hole. She also birdied the fourth before gaining four straight birdies from the seventh.

Further birdies at the 13th, 15th and 17th  had Oh signing for a blemish free round of 64 and after a nerve-racking  hour waiting in the clubhouse the win was confirmed when Kemp came up  one short at 11 under-par.
Oh has shocked the golfing fraternity  with her recent decision to retire from professional play. She has spent  the past few years playing on the lucrative Korean LPGA tour and had a  consistent season in 2014 with a number of top 10 finishes.
When asked if today’s brilliant round  and the win would sway her to reconsider her decision, Oh remained  convinced she had made the right call.

“I need a break from golf. I want  to stay in the industry bur do something different,” adding that she may  try to get involved in running tournaments in Australia and  possibly South Korea.
It was Kemp's third straight top-three finish in 2015.

The ALPG Tour heads up the M4 to Sydney where the next event is the Renault Ladies Classic at Castle Hill Country Club on January
England's Hannah Burke and Eleanor Givens shot 71 in both rounds and tied for 11th place on 142, earning $630 each.
Sophie Walker (71-75 for 146) finished T27 and earned $199.
Ireland's Rebecca Codd earned $172 for a joint 32nd place finish on 147 with rounds of 73 and 74.
Former Scottish amateur champion and 2008 Curtis Cup player Michele Thomson from Ellon finished outside the prizelist with scores of 78 and 75 for 153 and 46th place in a field of 60 players.
