SOPHIE LAMB BEST OF BRITS AT THE SALLY

Great Britain and Ireland Junior Vagliano Trophy team player Sophie Lamb from Clitheroe Golf Club, Lancashire did best of the British players on the opening day of The Sally (South Atlantic Ladies Amateur Championship), this week's event at Oceanside Country Club, Ormond Beach in the Florida Orange Blossom amateur tour.
Sophie, pictured, is lying joint 15th after a round of 78.

Embry Riddle University students Sophie Olley from Leeds and Hannah Robb from St Michaels, Fife shot 84 and 85 respectively.
Coach David Leadbetter's daughter Halley also had an 84 to be sharing 54th place.
American Katie Mitchell opened up a three-shjot lead with a 69.
Harder Hall Invitational winner Nelly Korda is tied third on 73.
