BRONTE AND HAYLEY SHARE CALIFORNIA LEAD

GB and I international team-mates Bronte Law (UCLA) from Bramhall, Cheshire, and Dorset's Hayley Davis (Baylor) are sharing the pole position with a round to go in the first big US women's college tournament of 2015 - the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge over a par-71, 6,107yd Palos Verdes GC course, California.

Bronte has had rounds of 68-69 and Hayley 69-68, both for five-under-par 137.
Hayley, pictured left, is after a double-whammy success on the final day as she is spearheading her university, Baylor, from Waco, Texas to a nine-streoke lead from Southern California (579) with Arizona Sate (584), Arizona (588), Florida (589), Oklahome State (also 589) and Washington (593). The highly-ranked Duke (598) are well down in their opening tournament of the spring campaign.
World No 1 female amateur, France's Celine Boutier (Duke) had a birdie-less round of 77 and is a disappointing T35 overall on 151.
 Boutier had four bogeys on the front nine and two on the back. 
Duke's Irish twins Leona (70-81 for 151) and Lisa Maguire (79-82 for 161) are lying T51 and T82 respecitvely in a field of 88 players.

Alison Knowles from South Yorkshire, transferred from Louisiana-Monroe to Michigan State, is T30 on 150 with rounds of 74-76.
Astor Trophy team player in Australia last month, Charlotte Thomas (Washington) is T53) on 153 (79-74).
Elizabeth Mallett (North Carolina) from Sutton Coldfield has had scores of 78 and 69 for 157 and is T74.
