CALUM HILL FINISHES JT SECOND AT SAN ANTONIO
 

Calum HIll from Kinross, a third-year student at Western New Mexico University, finished joint second in the St Mary's (Texas) Men's Invitational college tournament which finished at Dominion Country Club, San Antonia on Tuesday, writes Colin Farquharson.

Hill, pictured, had scores of 76 and 71 for a total of 147, three-over-par for the 6,927yd course. He finished a shot behind the winner, Dayton Cargill (Texas Tyler) (76-70).

Western New Mexico team-mates Harry Wetton from bedford, Thomas Neve from Epsom and Ben Skinner from Herts and Loretto finished T7, T13 and T44 respectively.
Wetton scored 77-73 for 150.
Neve shot 74-77 for 151 and Skinner had scores of 78-80 for 158.
Western New Mexico were runners-up in the team event to winners Rogers State University in a field of 13 teams.

Other Brits in the field of 76, Newman Univerrsity's James Bolton from Bury and James Hornsby from Liverpool, finished T13 and 58th respectively.
Bolton scored 77-74 for 151 and Hornsbuy 83-79 for 162
