Good USA performance by student from Perth


EMILY'S T14 FINISH IN FIELD OF 92 AT LADY RATTLER


Emily Aird from Perth, a second-year student at Newman University, Wichita in Kansas, finished a creditable T14 in a field of 92 players at the Lady Rattler Invitational 36-hole college tournament which finished today at The Dominion Country Club, San Antonio,
Emily, pictured below, had rounds of 78 and 84 for 162 over a par-72 couse of 5,910yd, writes Colin Farquharson.

The fact that even the winner, Haley Haught (St Edwards) finished five over par suggests that the weather was not all not great deep in the heart of Texas
Haley shot 79-70 for five-over 149 to win by three shots.
Emily's team totalled 655 and finished T5 behind the winners by a 15-shot margin, Dallas Baptist (624). St Edward's (640) were runners-up.

RACHAEL TAYLOR JUST OUTSIDE TOP 20 IN 

LADY PUERTO RICO CLASSIC

Another Scot, Rachael Taylor, whose family are based in Germany, finished T22 in a field of 82 at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic at Rio Mar Country Club, San Juan.

Rachael, pictured left, had rounds of 71, 78 and 74 for 223 over a par-72 course of 6,203yd.  The Scot finished 14 shots behind the winner by five, Chonlada Chayanun (Iowa State) (66-69-74 for seven-under-par 209).
Arkansas (876) won the team title ahead of Louisiana State (883) and Iowa State (894) in a field of 15 squads.
