ABERDEEN'S GEMMA DRYBURGH NAMED AMERICAN

WOMEN'S COLLEGE GOLFER OF WEEK

TULANE UNIVERSITY NEWS RELEASE
New Orleans - Tulane senior Gemma Dryburgh was named the American Women's Golf Player of the Week after a record-setting week at the UCF Challenge.

Great Britain and Ireland Curtis Cup team player Dryburgh, pictured, who hails from Aberdeen, set individual records and helped the Green Wave (Tulane University team nickname) rewrite several marks in the school record books en route to a third-place individual finish and leading Tulane to a runner-up performance at the UCF Challenge on Feb. 8-10.
The senior-year student finished -8, one stroke off co-leaders Lauren Diaz-Yi (Virginia) and Jennifer Hahn (Vanderbilt) and the Green Wave finished one stroke off the winner, No. 15 Virginia.
Dryburgh set her own single round record (66) and tied the school's individual 54-hole total. Behind Dryburgh, Tulane set school marks for the lowest single round (271) and lowest 54-hole total (851, -13).
The Green Wave has moved up to No. 31 in the latest collegiate golf polls from both Golfweek.com and Golfstat.com.
Tulane returns to action when it hosts the 2015 Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate Golf Championship, Feb. 22-24, at the English Turn Golf and Country Club in New Orleans.
