Scots students run into hot Houston opposition
Scots Lawrence Allan, Robert MacIntyre and Eamon Bradley found
themselves outgunned in a low-scoring US college golf tournament, the
Bayou City College Cup which ended at Houston Golf Club, Texas today
(SUNDAY).
Allan, a third-year student at Southeastern Louisiana University from Alva, finished joint 29th in a field of 87. He scored 74, 72 and 73 for a three-over-par total of 219 over a par-72 course of 7,165yd.
Left hander MacIntyre, from Oban and a freshman at McNeese State University, finished joint 36th on 221 with scores of 74, 79 and 68. Excellent last round!
Bradley, from Mt Ellen and a team-mate of Allen, shared 47th place with rounds of 81, 72 and 70 for 223. Big Improvement over 54 holes.
Zach Cabra (Sam Houston State) won with an eight-under total of 208 (72-71-65).
