BEN JOHNSON WINS BY FOUR IN TEXAS

Ben Johnson from West Sussex, in his last few weeks as a student at Bethany College, Kansas, has scored a second win on the US men's college golf circuit, writes Colin Farquharson .
With rounds of 72, 69 and 79 he won the Chaps Invitational at the Rawls course (par-72, 7349yd), Lubbock in Texas with a four-over-par aggregate of 220 which saw him finish four strokes clear at the head of a field of 48 players. Ben is pictured right receiving his prize.
Fraser Dawson from Ferndown, Dorset, a sophomore student at Hutchinson College, Kansas, finished T5 on 229 with scores of 72, 79 and 78. Fraser, a Dorset County player and former U21 champion, will be moving on Missouri Western State University in the autumn.
Team-mate Oliver Rubenstein, a sophomore from Sheffield, finished 27th on 245 with scores of 79, 79 and 87. Sounds as though the weather was a bit rough for the final round!
Wayland Baptist (903) won the team title ahead of Cameron University (921) with Bethany (942) third.

GEORGE DUNCAN JUST OUTSIDE CHARLOTTE TOP 10

George Duncan (Lincoln Memorial University) a second-year student from Dumbartonshire finished T11 in a field of 84 for the Hargett Memorial Invitational tournament at Olde Sycamore Plantation, Charlotte, North Carolina.

Over a par-72 course of 6,725yd, George, pictured right, had rounds of 72, 74 and 76 for six-over 222.
He finished 10 shots behind the winner by two, Leennawat Numpituck (King University) who scored 71, 70 and 71 for four-under 212.
A team-mate of the winner, Ross Maietta, a senior year student from Bexley, finished T30 on 228 (73-77-78).
A third King University student, John Scott, a senior student from Glasgow, finished T39 on 231 (82-73-76).
Declan Addison from Peterhead, a freshman at Brevard College, shot 79, 77 and 82 for  238 and 57th place.
Tusculum College (885) won the team title ahead of Mars Hill Uni (887) with Brevard College (894) fifth, King (896) T6 and Lincoln Memorial (899) eighth in a field of 13 teams.


DULCIE TIES FOR EIGHTH IN STROKE-PLAY MATCH
  Dulcie Sverdloff from Southend, a second-year student at Kennesaw State University, finished T8 in a field of 16 players at the Kennesaw State v Columbia stroke-play aggregate match at Pinetree Country Club.
Over a par-72 course of 6,087, Dulcie had a round of 83.
Joint lowest scorers were Ines Lescudier (Kennesaw State) and Rachel Shi (Columbia) on the 77 mark.
Columbia just edged a team win with a total of 315 to Kennesaw State's 316






ANOTHER TOP TEN FINISH BY JESSICA BRADLEY

Jessica Bradley from North Devon, in her last few weeks after a very successful four years as a student at Lynn University, Boca Raton in Florida, finished T7 in a field of 88 at the Barry Women's Invitational at Shula' Golf Club, Miami Lakes, Florida.
With scores of 70, 73 and 75 for two-over 218, Jessica, pictured right, finished five shots behind the winner by three, Anne Dulman (Rollins (66, 73 and 74 for three-under 213 over a 6,308yd course with a par of 72.
West Florida's Aimee Paterson from Hampshire and Daisy-May Kenny from Purley finished T19 and T45 respectively. 
Aimee shot 73, 76 and 76 for 225 while Daisy-May had scores of 78, 77 and 77 flor 232.
Scot Rachel Polson (Florida Tech) from Peterculter, near Aberdeen, finished T68 on 244 (87-82-75).
