Three off the pace with a round to go in the Hilton Head Lakes Invitational at Bluffton, South Carolina, Elizabeth made up the deficit to tie after 36 holes with Laura Bird (University of North Carolina-Pembroke).

GREY RUNNER-UP IN TIGER INVITATIONAL
J J Grey from Kent, a third-year student at Georgia State, finished runner-up, only a shot behind the winner, in the Tiger Invitational at Grand National Lakes Course, Opelika, Alabama.
The "Tiger" title has nothing to do with Tiger Woods. This tournament was hosted by Auburn University, whose sports teams are called the "Tigers."
Grey, pictured left, shot 70, 69 and 70 for five-under-209, failing by one shot to catch the winner, playing over his home course, Michael Johnson (Auburn) who scored 72, 66 and 70 over the par-72, 7,149yd course.
The field of 90 players included another Englishman, Tomasz Anderson from Hertfordsire, a final- year student at Jacksonville State, and two Scots, Ewan Scott, a second-year student from St Andrews, and Liam Johnston, a final-year man from Dumfries, both students at Tennessee-Chattanooga.
Anderson shot 73, 70 and 70 for 213 and a T9 finish.
Scott had scores of 73, 72 and 77 for 222 and a T33 finish
Johnston shot 78,81 and 71 for 230 and aT60 position.
Auburn (839) won the team title rather easily from Troy *(867) with Georgia State (873) third of 16 teams.
Jacksonville State (906) finished T15.
