EMILY AIRD CLOSE SECOND IN TEXAS

Emily Aird from Perth, a second-year student at Newman University, Wichita, Kansas, finished second this week in the Texoma Intercollegiate golf tournament at Tanglewood Resort, Pottsboro, Texas.

ourse ofr 5,986yd, Emily, pictured, had rounds of 76 and 78 for a 154 total, only one behind the winner, team-mate Kendall Anderson (76-77).
Another Newman player, Londoner Josie Jenkins, in her third year, finished T3 on 158 (75-83)
Not surprisingly, Newman University won the team event by a 32-shot margin in a 15-team contest.
