EMILY JUST OUTSIDE TOP 10 AT HARDSCRABBLE
Emily Aird from Perth, a second-year student at Newman University, Wichita, Kansas, finished joint 11th in a field of 42 at the Lions Classic women's college tournament over 36 holes at Hardscrabble Country Club, Fort Smith in Arizona this week.
Emily, pictured. had rounds of 81 and 76 for a total of 157 over a par 70 course of 5,825yd.
She finished 11 shots behind the winner by four, Sierra Campbell (Midwestern State) who scored 75-71 for 146.
Emily's team-mate Josie Jenkins, a third-year student from London, shot 81-79 for 160 and 15th place.
Midwestern State (607) won the team title ahead of Newman (615) in a field of eight teams.
