HEATHER'S SEVEN BIRDIES AFTER A 9 AT FIRST HOLE

Heather Munro from Monifieth, a freshman student at Elon University, North Carolina, had a remarkable second-round, one-under-par 71 in her second round today at the Kiawah Island Spring Classic women's college tournament.

Heather, pictured, had a quadruple bogey 9 at the par-5 first hole ... but went on to register SEVEN birdies - at the second, third, ninth, 10th, 12th, 15th and 18th - in improving by 10 strokes on her opening round of 81.
Her birdies included three 2s at short holes.
She is now 11 strokes behind the German leader, Laura Fuenfstueck (College of Charleston) who is on three-under 141 after socres of 70-71.
Paige Kemp from Essex, whose mother is Scottish, has had rounds of 79 and 77 for 156. Paige is a freshman at Stetson University.
