LINDSEY SHAW 2ND IN SPANISH SENIOR LADIES AND

TIED FIRST IN HANDICAP SECTION

Lindsey Shaw from Chevin Golf Club, Derbyshire finished second in the scratch and joint first in the handicap section when the Spanish women's open amateur individual championship ended at La Manga Golf Resort today.
Lindsey, with rounds of 77 and 80 for an aggregate of 157 over a par-73 course, finished a shot behind the title winner, Spain's experienced international, Macarena Campomanes (78-78 for 156).
Amanda Mayne (Saltford) finished fourth on 162 with a pair of 81s.
Shaw, who plays off two of a handicap, tied on net 153 with Spain's Addolorata Coduti who had net scores of 71 and 82 off 10 of a handicap.
Scotland's leading player was former Scottish women's amateur champion, Lesley Johnston (Gullane Ladies) in T48 position on 180 with rounds of 93 and 87.
