 SOUTH KOREANS AGAIN TO THE FORE

PHOENIX – Ha Na Jang and Hyo Joo Kim are among the South Koreans looking to keep the country’s winning streak alive.
Jang birdied four holes in a row before darkness fell Friday to take the lead in the suspended second round of the LPGA Tour's JTBC Founders Cup.
 She’s at 11 under through 29 holes at Marriott’s Wildfire Golf Club after opening with a 4-under-par 68. She has a one-shot lead on Kim, who is the leader in the clubhouse at 10 under after posting a 69.
South Koreans, or South Korean-born players, have won all five LPGA events played this year.


Na Yeon Choi won the Coates Golf Championship in the season opener, Sei Young Kim the Pure Silk Bahamas Classic, Lydia Ko the ISPS Handa Women’s Australian Open, Amy Yang the Honda LPGA Thailand and Inbee Park the HSBC Women’s Champions. Choi, Kim, Yang and Park are South Korean. Ko was born in South Korea and moved to New Zealand when she was 6.
Play was suspended at 6:39 p.m. Friday due to darkness. The second round will resume at 7:30 a.m. local timeon Saturday. The cut will be made to the low 70 and ties at the conclusion of the suspended round with the third round expected to begin about 11:30 a.m.
