MEGHAN MAINTAINS TOP TEN RECORD
British women's amateur stroke-play champion Meghan MacLaren maintained her 2014-2015 US college circuit record of not finishing outwith the top 10 in a Division 1 tournament when the Florida International University third-year student tied for 10th place in a field of 89 players at the weekend's Notre Dame University Clover Leaf tournament at Longhorn Golf club, Mesa in Arizona.
The Wellingborough Golf Club member, in her seventh Division 1 tournament of the college year, had rounds of 74, 76 and 74 for an aggregate of 224 over a par-72 course of 6,1284yd.
Ashleigh Greenham from London, a freshman at Arizona State, finished T29 on 230 with rounds of 74, 75 and 81.
Hannah Wood (Oklahoma) was the winner by two shots, scoring 69, 71 and 69 for seven-under 209.
Arizona State (885) won the team tiel ahead of hots Nore Davme (896) with Florida Interntional (907) fifth of 15 teams.
