SEB CROOKALL-NIXON T3 FINISH
AT DESERT MOUNTAIN CLUB
Seb Crookall-Nixon from Cumbria, a third-year student at San Francisco University, finished T3 in a field of 69 players a the Desert Mountain Intercollegiate tournament over a par-72 course of 7,107yd at the exclusive Desert Mountain Club, Scottsdale, Arizona, writes Colin Farquharson.
Seb, pictured right, had rounds of 69, 71 and 71 for a five-under-par aggregate of 211.
He finished four shots behind the winner, Aaron Wise (Oregon) who had three scores of 69 for nine-under 207.
Ross Dickson from London, a final-year student at Nebraska, finished T45 on 233 with rounds of 76, 81 and 76.
Oregon (861) won the team title by 12 shots from joint runners-up Michigan and Purdue.
San Francisco (907) finished eighth of 12 teams.
