Whyte, help win first Big 12 title
 
WACO, Texas -  Big 12 champions Baylor University women's golf team was awarded the No. 6 seed in the NCAA San Antonio Regional during the NCAA Division I Women's Golf Championship selection show on Monday.

Baylor will be making its fourth NCAA Regional appearance in as many seasons under head coach Jay Goble, and the program will be making its 14th all-time NCAA Regional appearance - all in the last 16 seasons.
The three-day, 54-hole tournament will be hosted by the University of Texas-San Antonio  and will be played at Briggs Ranch Golf Club in San Antonio, Texas. Baylor and 17 other teams will play one round per day from May 7-9.
The top six teams at each of the four regional sites will advance to the 34th-annual NCAA Championships, which will be held May 22-27 at The Concession Golf Club in Bradenton, Fla. The three lowest scoring individuals on non-advancing teams will also move on to the NCAA Championship.
Baylor will be joined at the San Antonio Regional by No. 1 California, No. 2 Washington, No. 3 Texas AandM, No. 4 Tennessee, No. 5 Arizona State, No. 7 Oregon, No. 8 Florida State, No. 9 Auburn, No. 10 Texas Tech, No. 11 Texas, No. 12 Houston, No. 13 Gonzaga, No. 14 Oklahoma, No. 15 Kennesaw State, No. 16 Lamar, No. 17 Boston and No. 18 Alabama State.
The Lady Bears are accompanied at the San Antonio Regional by three other Big 12 teams - No. 10 Texas Tech, No. 11 Texas and No. 14 Oklahoma.

 Baylor women win their first Big 12 title

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The Baylor women's golf team won its first-ever conference title by shooting 3-over-par 867 in the Big 12 Conference Championship at The Dominion Country Club.
Baylor entered the final round with a 10-stroke lead and shot 9-over-par 293 on Sunday, claiming the tournament championship by 12 strokes.
The 54-hole total of 867 was Baylor's best ever at a Big 12 Championship and the second-lowest 54-hole score in Big 12 Championship history, trailing only the 861 shot by Oklahoma in 2014. 
Baylor's first-round score of 282 was the lowest first round score in Big 12 Championship history, and BU set the event's 36-hole record at 573.
Laura Lonardi in second place after shooting 2-under 70 in the third round for an overall score of 4-under 212. Her score of 4-under 212 tied Oklahoma State's Kenzie Neisen, but Lonardi lost to Neisen on the second hole in a sudden death play-off for the individual Big 12 Championship title.
Dylan Kim finished in a tie for fifth place with an overall score of 1-over 217 after shooting 1-over 73 in the third round. Dorset's Hayley Davis, pictured at the start of the report, shot 3-over 75 to finish in a tie for 10th place with an overall score of 4-over 220. 
Giovana Maymon tied for 21st place with an overall score of 7-over 223 after shooting 4-over 76 in the final round, and freshman Lauren Whyte from St Andrews finished in a tie for 28th place with an overall score of 12-over 228 after shooting 6-over 78 in the third round.
Lonardi, Davis and Kim were all named to the All-Tournament team, tying Baylor's record with three players selected. B
