Boote just outside top 20 in Pac-12 Championship
 
David Boote from Epsom, a third-year student at Stanford University, California, is trailing team-mate Maverick McNealy, tournament leader by four,  by 12 strokes with a round to play in the 72-hole Pac-12 men's college championship at Palouse Ridge Golf Club, Pullman in Washington State.

Over a par-70 course of 7,257 yds, Boote, pictured, has had rounds of 75, 69 and 69 for 213 compared to McNealy's 65, 68 and 68 for nine-under 201. Boote is T22 in a field of 72 players.
Arizona State (1047) lead the team chase from Stanford (1056) with Southern California (1060) in third place in a field of 12 teams.
