Bronte Law moves up to Number 3 in World
Rankings, Leona Maguire remains second
Bronte Law from Bramhall, Cheshire, a second-year student at UCLA (University of California-Los Angeles), has risen to her best yet Women's World Amateur Ranking, writes Colin Farquharson.
In this week's revised ratings issued by the R and A, Bronte, pictured below, is No 3 behind American Andrea Lee and Ireland's Leona Maguire, a freshman at Duke University, North Carolina.
Six Continentals are ranked in the World's top 20, which gives you an idea of the task faced by the GB and I team of nine, captained by Elaine Farquharson-Black, in the Vagliano Trophy match at Malone Golf Club, Belfast on Friday-Saturday, June 26-27.
Leona Maguire is not available for selection for the GB and I team.
