Connie Jaffrey, top home-based Scot in the World Amateur Rankings, played well below her capabilities in finishing T52 in a field of 84 players at the SMU/DAC Invitational at Dallas Athletic Club.
The Kilwinning player and Troon Ladies member who is a student at Kansas State University had rounds of 77, 77 and 81 for a total of 235 over a par-72 course of 6,345yd.
Jaffrey finished 20 shots behind August Kim (Purdue) (71 73 71) and Yupapom Kawinpakom (Kansas) (76 70 69) who tied at the top of the leaderboard on one-under 215.
Kim won the play-off at the second hole.
The Texas-San Antonio pair of Brogan Townend and Becky McGeehan finished T65 and T81. Townend had scores of 84, 80 and 75; McGeehan 86 81 and 86.
Oklahoma State (875) won the team title ahead of Purdue (883).
Kansas State (911) finishewd seventh and Texas San Antonio (935) 14th in a field of 16 teams.
