Kennesaw State (The Owls) won the women’s Atlantic Sun Conference Championship Tuesday becoming the third team in conference history to win the championship by at least 30 strokes.
The Owls, ranked XX by Golfweek, finished with a three-day total of 8-over 872. In the runner-up position was North Florida at 38 over.
The Owls’ 30-stroke victory is the largest in Atlantic Sun history since 1992. It’s the second championship in Owl history and its first title of the 2014-15 season.
Three Owls - sophomore Dulcie Sverdloff (pictured above) from Southend, senior Ines Lescudier and sophomore Laura Estefenn - finished 1-2-3 on the individual leaderboard, respectively.
Sverdloff led from wire-to-wire for a 1-under 215 total at Reunion Resort’s Watson course for her first title of the season and just her second top 10.
With the win, Sverdloff became just the second Owl to earn the individual medalist title, joining team-mate Lescudier (2013).
Kennesaw State have earned the A-Sun’s automatic bid to the NCAA Regionals, set to take place May 7-9 in various sites across the country.
