Meghan MacLaren must make up six shots   

over final round at C-USA Championship

British women's stroke-play champion Meghan MacLaren, chasing a Vagliano Trophy team place as well as victory in the C-USA Women's Championship at the Verandah Club, is lying second with rounds of 72 and 69 for three-under-par 141.

But the Florida International University third-year student from Wellingborough, pictured right, has six shots to make up over Wednesday's final round if she is to catch the leader, Samantha Gotcher (Middle Tennessee) who has had excellent scores of 68 and 67 for nine-under-par 135.
Quite a few Brits in this field.
Channel Islander Aimee Ponte (Texas-San Antonio) is T6 onf 143 (72-71).
Devon Spriddle (Southern Mississippi) is actually Canadian-born but she is a daughter of golf coach Dean Spriddle who comes from Fife. Devon is T15 on 146 with a pair of 73s.
Brogan Townend (Texas-San Antonio), from Blackburn, is T20 on 148 with scores of 71-77.
Scot Rachael Walker (Old Dominion), a second-year student from Dumfries, is on 151 and T32 with rounds of 76 and 75.
Becky McGeehan (Texas-San Antonio) has had scores of 76 and 77 for 153 and a T37 position.
Charlotte Hindmoor (Old Dominion), a third-year student from Darlington), has had scores of 79 and 76 for 155 and a T41 placing. 
Holly Robinson (Alabama-Birmingham), a final-year student from Sligo, Northern Ireland is T44 on 158 with scores of 82 and 76.
There is a field of 55 players.
Middle Tennessee (565) lead the team event from Florida International (576) with North Texas (585) third and it's a tie for fourth place on 585 between Texas San Antonio and Old Dominion in a field of 11teams.
