South Koreans share LPGA lead in Hawaii

South Korean duo Sei Young Kim and In-Kyung are tied for the lead after the second round of the LPGA's Lotte Championship in Hawaii.

Sei Young Kim recovered from a bogey on the opening hole to post seven birdies in a second successive 67, moving to 10-under for the week in breezy conditions.
The 22-year-old finished strongly with two gains from her final three holes to move alongside overnight leader In-Kyung Kim, who followed up her opening-round 66 with a three-under 69 on day two.

Sei Young Kim is already a winner on the LPGA Tour this season, having claimed victory at the Pure Silk Bahamas LPGA Classic, but is looking to bounce back from squandering a final-round advantage at the ANA Inspiration a fortnight ago.

"I think what will motivate me better was the fact that I didn't win," she said, referring to throwing away a three-shot lead in California. "That's really motivating me this week and that is going to get me to play better.
"I think overall my game was in pretty good shape today. I worked on my fade shot yesterday because of the wind, and I think that has really worked out well for me today. My putter was also much better."
World No 3 Inbee Park, the highest-ranked player in the field, heads in to the weekend three shots off the pace after picking up back-to-back bogeys on the sixth and seventh in a second round 70 at Ko Olina.
A bogey at the last from Paula Creamer gave a 69 and a share of fourth, with the American the only non-South Korean in the top seven of the leaderboard.
Chella Choi, Mirim Lee and Jenny Shin also sit six under for the week, with defending champion Michelle Wie part of the group a further stroke adrift.
Home favourite Wie holed her 117-yard approach shot for an eagle at the par-four 15th, making three further gains during a second-round 69 where the only blemish came via a double bogey at the second.
"I started off really hot," the world No 9 said. "A little bit disappointed that I couldn't keep that going on the back nine, but I had a couple of bad breaks."
