Stirling 1 v Strathclyde in Scottish students' final
Stirling 1 will play Strathclyde in Friday's final of the Scottish student golf team championship at the Moray Golf Club's links at Lossiemouth
In the semi-finals, Stirling I beat their colleagues Stirling III by an 11-1 margin..
Strathclyde struggled in the early morning foursomes against Stirling II and trailed 2.5-1.5 after the morning foursomes.
Early victories by Strathclyde's Callum Connacher and Richard Johnsonsaw the lead swing back in the west of Scotland's favour. This did not last long as Luke Robinson and Andreas Roehrl tipped the match in Stirling II's favour.
The tie came down to the final match with Strathclyde's Craig Hughes showing nerves of steel to recover from a lip out on the 17th green to par the final hole to secure a one hole victory against Kevin Prentice and level the overall score at 6-6.
The captains nominated their leading players for a sudden death play-off and Hughes for Strathclyde birdied the second extra hole to overpower Sean Walter
