Glencorse through to second round at Turnhouse double foursomes

Last years winners, Glencorse, are through to the second round of the double-foursome Edinburgh Inter-Club Ladies' Tournament after a 4 and 3 win over Ratho Park tonight at Turnhouse.

A stiff westerly breeze presented a more challenging course tonight for another fantastic evening of quality golf.  Despite the sun shining, temperatures were very low and players were grateful for those spectators coming out to support them.  All matches were cleanly contested. Congratulations to all the winners and we look forward to the quarter finals tomorrow.

Baberton bt Royal Musselburgh 10 and 8

Murrayfield bt Dalmahoy 11 and 9

Glencorse bt Ratho 4 and 3

Mortonhall bt Prestonfield 7 and 6

Next round tomorrow (Friday) commencing at 4pm then at 10 min intervals

4.0 and 4.10: Turnhouse v Broomieknowe

4.20 and 4.30: Kingsknowe v Craigmillar Park

4.40 and 4.50: Baberton v Murrayfield

5.0 and 5.10: Glencorse v Mortonhall

Let's hope for another sunny evening. A bit warmer would do though. Do come and watch. There should be some really exciting games
