Scot Rachael Taylor (145) slipped out of a share of the lead with a second-round 75, six more than she took in the first round, to be lying seven strokes behind Swedish leader Madelene Sagstrom (Louisiana State) (68-70) in the NCAA Raleigh Regional.
Madelene, pictured, whose 138 tally gives her a lead of two over Emma Talley (Alabama) (70-70), will very likely be in the Continent of Europe team for the Vagliano Trophy match against GB and I at Malone GC, Belfast next month.
Airdrie-born Rachael, whose father is a head club pro in Germany, is a second-year student at North Carolina State University who are the hosts for this tournament which decides the leading teams to go forward to the NCAA finals.
South Carolina (581) lead from Alabama (589) with Louisiana State (582) in third place. NC State (596) are T6 in a field of 18 teams.
