Scottish women's amateur championship semi-finalists
This afternoon's semi-finals of the 101st Scottish women's amateur championship at the windy Monifieth Links will be:
Rachel Walker (Dumfries and County) versus Elaine Moffat (St Regulus).
Kimberley Beveridge (Aboyne) versus Clara Young (North Berwick).
In this morning's quarter-finals, the results were:
Rachel Walker bt top seed Gillian Paton (Royal Montrose) 3 and 2.
Elaine Moffat bt Karen Ferguson (Broomieknowe) 3 and 2.
Kimberley Beveridge bt Hannah McCook (Grantown on Spey) 2 holes.
Clara Young bt No 2 seed Jacqueline Sneddon (Alyth) 4 and 3

BOTH BEATEN IN QUARTER-FINALS
Top seed Gillian Paton (Royal Montrose) and No 2 qualifier Jacqueline Sneddon (Alyth) were both knocked out of the championship this morning.
Their conquerors, Rachel Walker (Dumfries and County) and Clara Young (North Berwick), both students at American colleges, played good golf in warm but very windy conditions over the Monifieth Links.
Walker was three under par for the first eight holes and at that stage had gone three up on Paton with birdies at the second, sixth and eighth.
The top seed cut her deficit to two holes after the turn but the writing was on the wall when Walker went three up again by winning the 13th and went on to win by 3 and 2 with roughly one under par figures.
Walker now plays 47-year-old Elaine Moffat (St Regulus), the 1998 champion, in the first semi-final.
Moffat won by 3 and 2 against Karen Ferguson (Liberton).
Unusually, the first eight holes were halved before Moffat won the ninth to be one up at the turn. She never lost the lead after that.
Moffat went two up at the 10th but lost the 13th to a birdie before forging clear again by winning the 14th and 16th.
Ferguson was bunkered at the 16th and took two shots to get out from the sand. That finished the match.
Elaine reckoned she was about two over par for the holes played.
Kimberley Beveridge, 19-year-old Aboyne member from Torphins, was three up after 11 holes against Stirling student Hannah McCook (Grantown on Spey) but the match went all the way to the 18th green before she clinched a place in the semi-finals.
Beveridge had won the ninth, 10th and 11th to go three up.
McCook won the 12th and the 15th to be only one down with three to play.
But Beveridge kept her cool to halved the 16th and 17th before winning the 18th for a two-hole victory.
Clara Young, the youngest ever East Lothian women's county champion when she was only 15, is not 18 and has just completed her first year as a student at the University of Missouri.
Young carried over her good scoring from Thursday's two rounds to be three up after eight against top seed Jacqueline Sneddon.
Sneddon won back the 10th but lost the 11th and the 14th to be four down with five to play. Halves at the 14th and 15th put Young through to the last four with a 4 and 3 margin.
Clara was beaten finalist two years ago in the championship at Longniddry
CLARK ROSEBOWL FINALISTS
The Clark Rosebowl final this afternoon will be contested by former Scottish U18 girls champion Lesley Atkins (Gullane), a student at the University of Louisiana-Monroe, and Carol Wilson (Murcar Links).
Atkins won by 4 and 3 against Kirsty Brodie (Strathmore).
Wilson, who lost a play-off on Wednesday night for one of the last two places in the championship match-play, beat Wendy Nicholson (Broomieknowe) by 2 and 1
