The weather was very good but the course was tricky and the pin positions testing .The first qualifier was Louise Macgregor who is is back playing at Falkirk Golf Club and won the county title four years in a row from 2010 to 2013 before losing in last year's final to Alison Davidson. She had a 78 and won top seeding on the better inward half from Braehead girl Laura Bissett .
The third qualifier was Sarah Walker with 79 , another Braehead lady, and in fourth place came the current champion, Alison Davidson, also 79 .
Alison has won the county title seven times since 1992
First-round ties are on Sunday afternoon; quarter-finals on Monday at 5pm; semi-finals on Wednesday at 5.30pm and the final will tee off at 5.30pm on Friday.
