Midlothian set for East Div title after crushing

Midlothian took a stranglehold on the outcome of the East Division women's inter-county team championship when they gave defending champions East Lothian an 8-1 drubbing on Day 2 at Scotscraig Golf Club, Fife
The East Division champions go forward to the Scottish county finals at Stranraer from September 18 to 20 and it is hard to see past Midlothian retaining the top of the table berth.
They crushed East Lothian with a 3-0 whitewash in the morning foursomes and then a 5-1 capture of the singles.
Double winners for Midlothian were Hannah Scott, Louise Fraser and Gabrielle MacDonald.
Wendy Nicholson and Alison McBride, winners in the foursomes, were not fielded in the singles.
Former Scottish champion Elaine Moffat had a hole in one at the 13th against Louise Macgregor in the top Fife v Stirling and Clackmannan singles tie.
It finished all square so that ace certainly made a difference for Elain
The foursomes were shared in this match before Fife took the singles 4-2 with wins by Hannah Robb, Dorothy Ford and Lorna McKinlay. Moffat Linda Dyball halved their ties
