Kylie wins by four shots after bogey-free 68

Kylie Walker is now a winner home and away! The 28-year-old from Glasgow has won in Australia, the Netherlands and Germany as a professional.
But today's four-stroke triumph at the PGA in Scotland's Ladies Tartan Tour 36-hole competition at Deer Park Golf and Country Club, Livingston was her first success as a lady pro in Scotland.
Kylie, 28, had three late bogeys in a windy first-round 74, but today, even though it was still quite blustery, she eliminated the mistakes to return a  bogey-free, four-birdie 68 for a two-under-par total of 142.
She birdied the sixth and eighth in 34 to the turn and then two par-5s after the turn, the 12th and 14th, for 34 home.
The Scot won by four shots from Australia's Stacey Keating (Victoria GC) who had scores of 74 and 72 (38-34) for 146.
Overnight leader Laura Murray (Paul Lawrie Golf Centre) finished third on 147 (72-75) after an outward 37 saw Walker make up three shots on her.
Joint fourth on 148 were Vikki Laing (Kings Acre), whose second-round, two-under-par 70 was bettered only by the winner, and another Lothians player, Jane Turner (West Linton).
Kylie said later:

"Delighted with my win today. I played really solid in Tuesday's first round  in the really tough conditions but dropped a few shots towards the end so I was happy to have a bogey-free round in today's blustery weather and take advantage of the par 5's.

"The field was really quite strong, so I'm proud to have won. It's great we have a lot of English girls making the effort to come up and play the Ladies Tartan Tour. Also the LET girls from further afield supporting the tour on weeks off is brilliant. 

"Deer Park was a great venue and in fantastic condition." 

Gillian Paton, pictured right, the Royal Montrose GC amateur who was the leading qualifier and a quarter-finalist at the recent Scottish women's championship at Monifieth, did well to finish eighth at Deer Park with rounds of 79 and 73 (38-35) for 152.
The penultimate event on the Ladies Tartan Tour is over two rounds at Marriott Dalmahoy, Edinburgh on June 24-25. That will be the last competition for players to gain Order of Merit points before the final tournament, the Paul Lawrie Ladies Invitational at Deeside Golf Club on September 15-16.
Entry to that will be restricted to the top 21 players in the Order of merit after Dalmahoy.
