European girls team championship in Czech Republic

Scots girls too far behind to have hope of

making top match-play flight

Scotland have no chance of making the top eight for the championship match-play flight in the European Under-18 girls' team tournament at Kaskada Golf Resort, Brno in the Czech Republic.
The Scots have a team total of 406 after the first of two stroke-play qualifying rounds. That leaves them 15th in the field of 20 teams, 50 shots behind the runaway leaders Spain and, more importantly, 26 behind the country currently in eighth place, Austria.
None of the Scottish team broke 80. GB and I Junior Vagliano trophy team player Shannon McWilliam topscored for the Scots with an 80.
Hazel MacGarvie (Troon Ladies), who also played for the GB and I youngsters in Belfast, came next on the 81 mark alongwith Chloe Goadby and Emma Hale.
Claire Robertson had an 83 and Joanne Free the non-counting score, an 89, under the best five from six scores daily counting towards the team total.
