Ireland name team for Women's Home 

Internationals at Royal Wimbledon  

NEWS RELEASE FROM IRISH LGU

The Women’s Home International Matches take place at Royal Wimbledon Golf Club from 9-11 September.  Four players who represented Ireland at the Ladies European Team Championships have been selected and will be joined by four new senior caps. Irish Champion Sarah Helly (Enniscrone) proved her worth at the Irish Ladies Close at Rosapenna Golf Club and will be a welcome addition to the team.

 Three in-form members of the Irish girls team for the European Team Championships will make up the remaining spots, namely Julie McCarthy (Forrest Little), Niamh McSherry (Lurgan) and Annabel Wilson (Lurgan). 

 The team strikes the perfect mix of youth and experience and will be captained by Sinead Keane (Royal Curragh/Naas) for the second consecutive year. Donal Scott will travel with the ladies as coach and Valerie Hassett will join as manager.
