Maria scores runaway win on Suncoast Tour

Sweden's Maria Hjorth, a former student at Stirling University scored a runaway victory by nine shots over 54 holes this week on the Suncoast Lady Pro Tour in Florida.

Maria, whose married name is McBride, shot a 17-under-par total of 199 at Timacuan Golf and Country Club to collect the $2,000 first prize without a challenge after great scores of 66, 67 and 66 over the par-72 lay-out
